The law related to school districts' liability for transportation-related incidents is evolving. Districts need to be aware of the law to best avoid, or at least mitigate, costly claims for situations seemingly outside their control. This speech will cover the current state of the law as it relates to school district liability for student transportation, including a discussion of the recent Fenrich v. The Blake School case. It will also address best practices for limiting district liability and liability waivers.
